It is hard to believe that there are only 11 days till Thanksgiving, 15 days remaining in the month and 39 days until Christmas. It’s safe to say that the holidays will look very different this year as we continue to navigate and deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
During these difficult and strange days, it is still important to be mindful of how you are doing mentally and emotionally as well as spiritually. Commit with me to changing your attitude to one of gratitude for all that God is doing, all that He has done and what He will do… what we see and what we can’t see.
For the next 15 days, my emails to you will focus on encouraging and challenging you to be “thankful” and give thanks to God for who He is and what He is doing in and through our lives!
Give Thanks - Day 1: Always and Constantly
“Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (CSB)
You can find joy in every circumstance. You can pray throughout the day; brief moments, talking and listening to God. Having an attitude of gratitude is God’s will for your life. Remember to thank God for your new life in Jesus!
Reflection Question… What prevents you from “giving thanks” in all circumstances and how can your faith in Jesus give you an attitude of gratitude?
