Important words...

The most important thing Jesus ever said…

John 3:16, 17 (NLT)… “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”

These words from Jesus recorded in John 3 are arguably one of the most important things if not the most important thing Jesus ever said during His time here on earth. What can we learn from Jesus in these important words?

God is a “giver”; He gives… life, mercy, forgiveness, peace, joy; His Spirit without limits. And God gives the gift of Himself. He gave us Jesus who was “Immanuel, God with us”, and He promises to give us His spirit which will guide us and direct our steps.

If God can give to us, then as His followers and His disciples, we should be able to give the gift of ourselves to others to… serve others, love others, mentor others, teach others and lead others. By giving ourselves to others, we can “breathe life" into them so that they can experience healing and change.

1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)… "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."

God wants to give you “life” through His Son Jesus… will you accept His offer? You only have to believe that Jesus is God, and He wants to rescue you from your sinful, selfish ways. God doesn’t want to condemn you. He wants to offer you new life; a new path to take on a new adventure with Him leading the way. Will you accept the help? Will you accept His offer? Once you’ve settled that dilemma, God wants to use you to rescue others. He wants you to “breathe life” into someone else who is without hope and feeling helpless and struggling to go on. Who can you help and what do they need to get “healthy” again?

Love others and give yourself to others by breathing “life” into their lives with the love of Jesus.
